Yes, the dialog box redraw is one of my biggest gripes with Photopaint too.
On the whole though, it seems to be a workable package, even on my old
Cyrix-180Mhz machine. Surprising, since my machine is below the recommended
specs.
Just like you, though, I would like to see a properly programmed application,
not just a reworked Windoze app.
