Just something to get your minds off Linux for a moment...

I've long been wondering what the word 'foobar' really means. I've
seen this in many docs and sites but still remained a mystery to me,
so I did this small research. I've also encountered it being used
like "that will get your machine foobar'd", in that particular
sentence he meant it to mean something like foobar=crash="Fucked Up
Beyond All Repair."

My Yahoo search gave me a few results. Here's the summary:
* foo - disgust
* foo - Forward Observation Officer (British)
* foo - The first syllable of the sacred chant phrase "FOO MANE PADME
HUM"
* foo - fool (American slang)
* fu - happiness (Chinese), when spoken in the right tone
* foobar - FTP Operation Over Big Address Records (RFC1639)
* foobar - used in examples that illustrate concepts and ideas in
computer science
* fubar - Failed UniBus Address Register in a VAX
* fubar - Fucked Up Beyond All Repair (Army slang)
* furchtbar - terrible (German)

Any more additions?
