hi. i've used my AD for squid authentication for quite some time now. i don't 
use groups however which somewhat simplifies things abit. here's the ldap 
part

auth_param basic program /usr/local/libexec/squid/squid_ldap_auth -b "dc
=domain,dc=com" -D "cn=squidbinder,cn=Users,dc=domain,dc=com" -w password -f 
"sAMAccountN
ame=%s" dc.domain.com

you may want to try something like that first before you proceed with the 
grouping just to isolate things.
