Just got an Acer Travelmate 2312 WLCi from the office. Ships with RHL
9, no Windows tax paid :)
Reinstalled to CentOS 4. What works right away:
- Ethernet - SiS 900
Needed work:
- SiS M661FX - VESA works but not in the native 1280x800 ("WXGA")
resolution, so the pixels were ugly. Setting the ModeLine in xorg.conf
produced an image that had the wrong buffer start position. Got the
update from http://www.winischhofer.net/linuxsisvga.shtml and it's now
good.
To do:
- Sound - intel 8x0 detected but no audio
- Atheros Communications WLAN - has an open source driver
