Thanks! I saw some links in the internet wherein they say they've been able to make some internal modems work using the smartlink drivers. But then again, it's the internet so it could be anything :-)
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/IBM_Integrated_56K_Modem_(MDC-2) gave me hope :-) The smartlink doc was actually what I followed. I think I'm almost on the last mile based on the documents and other sites on the net. Tried contacting smartlink for any help... waiting... hoping ...
