about 61 seconds, including the pitstop in runlevel 3, running Xtart
and selecting fluxbox. i could probably tweak my mandriva installation
to turn off some services but i can spare a minute. the box is a duron
800Mhz with 256mb RAM (if the 128 chip is cooperating).

i have not yet timed the bootup of the mandriva installation on my
laptop. i usually just boot it up and do something else. :)
