Hello everyone, Can somebody help me solve my problem on our samba server? I am installing Fedora Core 4 on a new HP Compaq machine with P4 3.0E and 80GB Hard drive.
I was able to install RedHat 9 on it but when I tried installing FC4, I received an error (kernel panic) ...... RAMDISK: Couldn't find RAM disk image starting at 0 VFS: Cannot open root device "<NULL>" or unknown-block(8,3) Please append a correct "root=" boot option Kernel panic: not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(8,3) ....... Actually, the message is long but I was only able to get those line.
