yeah! i agree, the chubby puppy has all those, and runs on old machines, but for eye candy, try alinux (formerly peanut linux) kate is also nice.

and since it's supposed to be a Desktop Linux, learning is not that hard. i have yet to find something i wanted to do that couldn't be found in graphical tools the come with Puppy Linux.
