about shopwise, totoo bang kita ang icewm taskbar sa mga POS dun? if true, is that intentional?

coz i know it's possible to hide/disable it. and even to do away completely with the WM while still running X apps. that's for securing the terminal from unintended use.

If you're willing to explore Debian, I highly recommend it together with
FAI, the Fully Automatic Installation system. This is a very popular
tool for clusters with hundreds of units that have to be configured
simultaneously. Here in the Philippines my largest deployment of this
tool is for Shopwise - Rustan Supercenters, Inc. We've used it to deploy
a POS system that runs on Debian GNU/Linux on a total of four stores to
date, with about 40 terminals each.

At the recent LinuxWorld Philippines 2005, I gave a talk entitled
"Standardizing and Automating Enterprise Deployments of Debian
GNU/Linux" and blogged about it. Perhaps you may want to check out my
slides and the links and tips I provide at http://jijo.free.net.ph/21.

By the way, we've just opened a brand new Shopwise hypermart in Harrison
Plaza, in Pasay City. There will be a grand opening tomorrow, Sept. 18,
but the place is already open to the public today. Come, check us out!

Cheers!
