And since necessity is the mother of invention, there's a need right now
for an alternative -- or something -- to allow our neighbors to actually
be able to do something about their (usually) primary source of income.
Trying to help is the least we can do as a good neighbor.
Another way of putting it is, the vast majority of LAN shops are parasites on the blood-gorged belly of Bill Gates.
Not a pretty sight, hahaha! but it'd be true, too..
Not that I have anything against LAN shops, but I dislike the aggrieved tone of the LAN-shop fanboys on this (and other) forums.
