Seriously now, swaret can do it's job quite nicely. You just have to read the manual (no 'F' here guys) on how to make some excludes (e.g. kernel, etc.). You can also customize the mirror you download from.
The upgrade from 10.1 to 10.2 is in the CD as mentioned by others. However, the OP wanted to keep his slack current (he has 10.2 already).
To keep your swaret updated you can make a weekly cron job (man cron) to do
#swaret --update
