Hello all,

Thanks for all the responses to my GILAS post. I've
gotten in touch with most of you who replied, and I'd
like to thank you for your time and effort. From
working with GILAS and all its partners, I'm also
happy to say that the ideals of free software/open
source is slowly but surely inching its way into the
minds of government, decision makers, and "suits" in
general. Personally, I'm pushing for open source in
education, because it makes so much sense.

On the Ubuntu cd's, When I ordered 15 cds, I got it in
muntinlupa post office where they charged me 300 pesos
for some strange esoteric reason. When I ordered 50
cds and had it sent to the Makati post office, I
picked up the package, showing the downloadable
generic letter to customs officials , and the only
charge I got was 30 pesos for the parcel fee. I guess
it all depends on where you get it shipped to.
