why not XAMP on win2k? :) dreamweaver 2004 on Wine,
just try it and see if will crash. if it does, why not try a
native html wysiwyg designer such as NVU (user-interface
on tables is not that productive), or running a virtual OS
using vmwareplayer on linux, or host the software on a
windows terminal server and then connect to it using
your gnu/linux-based RDP client. and finally, wait for
adobe to release a gnu/linux version of dreamweaver. :)
running VB applications thru Wine can have a noticeable
gain in performance when the machine is equipped with at
least 512MB of RAM.
Now
the only reason I am dual-booting with my workstation is
because of dreamweaver and maintenance of my VB and Access programs.
Currently i have successfully installed xammp in ubuntu.. I
uninstalled previous versions i manually installed... YESS!
Now next problem is dreamweaver... I'm planning to install Wine
to try out if it works.
Any suggestions?

My officemate tried Dreamweaver on crossover pro and it works wonders
but you'll
feel that your machine will start to cough using it. It's a shame
though why Macromedia
didn't support Linux knowing that there's a rising of web developers
switching to *nix. :-(
