Hi, Bong,

I'm using vmware player with my Ubuntu, and I have Ubuntu on Ubuntu.

There were some additional steps that I had to take to build a working copy of vmware-player, though.   http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=84275 gives the list of steps.

http://www.ffnn.nl/pages/articles/linux/vmware-player-image-creation.php is one site that gives a lot of tips (including building your own custom VMX image).

Have anybody tried VMWare on Ubuntu and run other Linux Distro like Fedora/Gentoo etc.

I would like to experiment with other distro but want to keep my ubuntu as the primary OS.

Also can you point me out to good reading material installing VMWare 5.5.1 Workstation

on ubuntu?

Thanks.
