that program was homegrown by Raymond Ordona (he wasn't around anymore when i got to mozcom) and ate 100% of the CPU when running (apparently Raymod had never heard of blocking select! i kid ye not -- i got into an email argument with the guy because he didn't leave any source code behind and i couldn't fix the "hogs the CPU" problem.

the current chat.mozcom.com is running a hacked NUTS. as a direct offshoot of Mr Ordona's refusal to give up the source code for his "precious" chat server. although i wonder if anyone still uses it. chat.mozcom.com did have a rather oddball hardcore user base.

There was a public chat.mozcom.com - though I never logged in. Was
