Hello!

I tried installing the JAVA version of SAPGui in RHEL3 but I get this error message after issuing java -jar PlatinGUI.jar

Any tips on this?

Sadly no Sapgui for linux will be released due to majority of SAP users use windows based OS. But you can still use JAVA based sapgui. Got it working and running on my server at home.

just download sapgui java on service.sap.com/swdc

Best regards

I am also using JAVA-based SAPGui. Am I on the right track here? This is kind of frustrating since Im not very familiar with SAP.

On the CD installer of SAPGui R/3, I saw a directory there for Unix platform, unfortunately there is none for Linux. So instead I am trying to get the Java version work, sadly to no avail.

What installer did you use? URL please, I am also interested in
running SAP gui on Linux.
However, I have succesfully tested the JAVA version of SAP gui and it
works ok, but not entirely well, like on downloads, it does not work,
since it wants to save on an uppercase path. ex: /TMP
and the Java client timeouts every 2 minutes, how irritating.
