During the early days of PHnet, we were conducting seminars on the internet and one of the participant was a guy in his advance years.  He wanted to learn about the internet and find out how his daughter could fall in love and eventually marry a man she men through the internet....
and this was in 1994.

Ah the old days when chat ruled. Talk between balut (AdMU), SLU and elsewhere.

A friend of mine even got married to a guy met through "talk."

Then the finger / talk (Unix) routine.

Does anyone still know what those were? :)
