Seems OK here, but it takes up too much memory (361MB VIRT/77 MB RES
and I haven't been doing much.)

I don't see firefox problems there.

I'm using the x86-64 version on an Intel CPU (Pentium 4 630 with HT
enabled). Strangely, when I use gdm, it does a hard lockup. Booting at
runlevel 3 and "startx" is fine.
