Hi Everyone, I have a recent fascination with the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol, and off hand was wondering how many people in PLUG have already deployed and used XMPP (or more commonly known as Jabber) servers in enterprise setups, and what the server is usually used for.
I personally have not run a Jabber server before, let alone deployed one as a solution for an enterprise. However, I am interested in building something that will implement the XMPP protocol and use it for a completely different purpose than what how it is commonly being used (for Instant Messaging). Your comments and insights would be most appreciated. Thanks, and have a great weekend everyone! -- Dean Michael C.
