Have old cassette tapes and want to transfer those audio to my computer, what OS Software may I use?
You probably need some way to get your computer read sound input from your tape first. I suppose you can do that by setting up your tape playback machine to send audio to your computer's line-in port via some jack, but in my experience, some line-in ports degrade the overall sound quality (I once tried recording some dialogues for mixing in to some music, only to find out that I got pops and hisses instead of voices.) I suppose you can minimize those `artifacts' by remastering your audio, either thru Audacity or some other sound editor (ReZound's, or Ardour's, both of which support LADSPA, comes to mind.)
