In any case, you should NOT be using the jk2 connector since it still has
many problems but support for it has lessened. As Jeff suggested, if you are
interested in the jk2 implementation over the previous jk versions, it is
better to use mod_proxy.
And what were the errors in compiling the jk connectors? Surely if it were
not able to create the mod_jk so files, the logs would have recorded the
problem. These logs might give you a clue as to what happened.

Hi,
I need help in Integrating Tomcat and Apache on CentOS 4.3.I have been able
to make tomcat works but I cant integrate it with apache since I cant figure
out why I cant make the modules mod_jk.so and mod_jk2.so build.

cd jk/native2
#make clean
./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs
make
cd ../build/jk2/apache2/
cp mod_jk2.so /usr/local/apache2/modules/ --> (This is not possible anymore)
Since all my ../build/jk2/apache2/ folder contents are
