last time i encountered this kind of problem was traced to a
spywares, virus, present on hundreds of client workstations.
check for leechers as well, hehe.

Any solution? the machine has 1GB RAM and P4 2.6Ghz, with much of the RAM is allocated for caching but it ooks like squid isn't happy after all.
