Hi everybody,
My / directory is going full, Im using LVM and in one volume goup are
divided into 3 logical volumes which are / , /var/log, /home. Is there a
ways to get a free space from my /var/log directory to add in my /
directory? Anyone knows about this????
first do some cleanup in your / FS. i'm assuming you have RH - what
does the command "vgs" or "pvs" say? and how big your /var/log LV?
if you /var/log FS is too big but a lot of free space, you can
- boot into single or rescue mode
- resize your /var/log (man resize2fs and man lvreduce)
- then allocate the freed PPs to your / LV (man lvextend and man ext2online)
