Sorry. I dont know how this happened, really.
This is not the email that I replied to.

Either my eyes played trick on me or I have found

No, your previous message is very apt.

Talk about this open source bill presupposes the capacity of the
current Administration being a completely fair and completely
trustworthy instrument for promoting social security and happiness.
Not that I presuppose that the current Administration is not fair or
not trustworthy, but I do have some reservation regarding open source
in government and its use (or abuse) thereof. Perhaps others in this
list have their own reservations as well, but I'll speak for my own.

I believe certain fundamental bugs with the Administration must be
fixed first before proceeding, starting with its claim to legitimacy,
down to the myriad of charges of political kidnappings, etc., all the
way to the outrageous claims of supposed plans and actions revealed
during the last SONA. Only after resolution (and not just triaging
those bugs) would there be some bit of peace for us to consider this
`open source bill' seriously.

Note that I am not totally against the bill; what I'm trying to say is
that we need to take a step back a bit and refocus ourselves on the
representation of our state affairs and on how to tackle the problems
that befuddle it, before some poor scmuck thinks that `open source is
yet another cash cow' for the House and Senate.

I'll leave for Mass at 5:15.
