thank you for that answer/correction. i am not saying i know much about the jcp 
but am only basing my questions on what i have read that sun has a substantial 
stranglehold (re:not absolute but very influential) on what passess through the 
process. that may be fud so i would take your answer to mean that the whole 
facet java development could now be completely community driven. :)
