If you have been reading the back-and-forths at all, you'd already know why I needed that clarified. JM Ibanez's latest reply basically explains the situation all over again. I hope you bothered to read that. And, no I have not read the "GRL" yet. As far as I know, the *GPL* is the license used by the Linux kernel. And before you try to repeat the obvious again, I have been well aware for a looong time now that requiring such copyright transfers are NOT a part by the GPL. They are, however, a practicality that is very often required by some organizations with lage GPL codebases (like MySQL AB, I believe, and GNU) before they will include your contributions in their codebases.
