To Danny, good list, but the number 1 is actually the last thing that you have to do. It's like forensics, once you reboot, some of the information like chkconfig, ifconfig, netstat, etc. are gone.
hmmm good point. Guess I've been indoctrinated too much as a former windows user (from years back). Old habits are hard to break. hehehe. Incidentally, in my personal experience, a physical problem more than any fault in the software had been the culprit. ie disconnected rj45 (lan) connector, misplugged rj45, unplugged/unpowered hub and/or router. Nginat-ngat ng daga ang wires! grrrrrr! Di ba may "levels of communication"? the first one is physical right? Anyone know the levels? applicable di ba? Maybe someone can post it, baka makatulong, yun nga lang medyo abstract. -- Regards, Danny Ching _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
