I know someone who's pretty convinced that Twisted is right for any
Reactor (or maybe Proactor) pattern implementation in Python
especially when it comes to servers/clients.

I'd liken this to using something like the ACE Framework in C++.

If you're willing to spend time with it, then I'd certainly say you
could very well have fun and get twisted too. :D
