Thanks dude, I'll look them up. I'm looking at a VPS service for two things: 1. Relocate one of our web site, and; 2. More importantly, run a temporary private proxy for my local e-mail users -- as our internet mail host (in the US) is kinda hard to access now when PLDT started rerouting traffic due to the Taiwan quake.
#2 above is the main reason why I'm searching for a host that, given the present situation, is quite accessible from here. --- mike t. ----- Original Message ---- From: Emerson Oatis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Technical Discussion List <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 23, 2007 1:00:32 PM Subject: Re: [plug] VPS host hi! i am accessing our VPS in london (servelocity.net) from our office (dsl connection/makati) and quite acceptable in speed but there are times load of pages seems so slow, our provider confirmed that problem w/ FO cut in taiwan was not fully restored yet w/c cause intermittent connection :( regards, -remesitao On 1/23/07, Michael Tinsay <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hi 'all, Just want to ask if, from your recent experience, is there a VPS hosting firm wherein access to the VPS (from here in the Philippines) is not affected much by the damage due to Taiwan quake last month? --- mike t. _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
