hi guys,
im trying to replace our unix dns servers with linux. my problem is
my linux dns servers queries much slower than my unix servers. i
even tried centos and debian with the latest bind 9.3.4 as compared
to my unix servers with only bind 8.2.4. anyone had a nice
combination of OS and bind version for this to work?
unfortunately bind 9.3.x series is too slow compare to its lower version..
fortunately for you and just in the nick of time, bind 9.4.0 just out
yesterday... there is a big improvement in bind 9.4.0 when it comes to
response time and DOS attack... furthermore, bind 9.4.0 multi-threaded is
working properly which gives you more power when it comes to response time..
try it and see the difference...
