unfortunately bind 9.3.x series is too slow compare to its lower version.. fortunately for you and just in the nick of time, bind 9.4.0 just out yesterday... there is a big improvement in bind 9.4.0 when it comes to response time and DOS attack... furthermore, bind 9.4.0 multi-threaded is working properly which gives you more power when it comes to response time.. try it and see the difference...
