To all who reply to my post, thanks you. I probably use free VMWARE server, thanks for the tip. I read before that Sun Fire really perform fast and the cost are comparable to Intel based, can you post supplier of this machine locally, how about support and spare parts, just in case. Are this easily available? I also visit VirtualBox site and it seems that using that will be allowed only for personal use. Is free VMWARE server has also that restriction? I want to use the free version at first and if ever that the VMWARE really perform as in un-virtualized box, maybe upgrade later to the paid version to use other features. Xen is available to the upcoming CentOS 5, are there any advantage of using that instead?
Thanks again. These are 64-bit dual-core Opterons. They cost about the same as SuperMicro or Intel server hardware ($8k). Me, I'd rather go for Sun if it costs the same as other hardware. junji aisalen.webpress.com Linux Registered User #253162 Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com _________________________________________________ Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Read the Guidelines: http://linux.org.ph/lists Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
