We set up the General de Jesus College's High School Computer Lab. and Library with Linux last year. The router/gateway firewall is Bayanihan Linux 3.0. The library is using Xubuntu. In the HS Computer Lab. we load the applications of Edubuntu and using the Xubuntu desktop(XFCE). It's a mixture of Edubuntu and Xubuntu someone calls it XEdubuntu and others EdXubuntu.
Anyway the school is in Nueva Ecija, am I off topic in this thread because I just noticed that word Taguig...? On 4/2/07, Jaime Tiongson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Are there any other school that has a laboratory dedicated for Linux like the Open Source College below? I once helped a school set-up a linux laboratory in 2000 located in Laguna. Installed Redhat 6.0 and 6.2 and most of the computers are still running today together with new versions of Fedora (64bit). The school saved enough money (with the use of Linux) to finance the migration to 64bit (due for completion soon). I hope we can organize not only the individual users but the different laboratories as well. On 4/2/07, Danny Ching <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > MGC New Life, between Market Market and I.S.
