My /etc/apt/sources.list contains the following entries:

***** start sources.list *****
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ etch main
deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ etch main

deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable main contrib non-free

deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib
***** end sources.list *****

These entries were there even before ETCH was released and became stable. I
did not know that because "unstable" is here, then my system will be
auto-upgraded to Lenny. I am not complaining, because this is what I really
want. The only issue that is bothering me is the inconsistency of the dates:
my /etc/issue file was updated on April 3, but Etch (and so Lenny) was released
on April 8.

"testing" to "stable". Other than
that, i have no idea what's going on.
