i did it once. but i had hard time getting the dhcp ip from Smartbro.

smartbro antenna -> linux box-> LAN

what i did is, i statically assigned the ipaddress on eth0 (connected to
antenna). smartbro does not change dhcp ip that often.

Great thanks for all the feedbacks. By the way where can I get the list of
name servers? Will they provide it upon installation?

A little bit OT:
Anyone here living in Binan, Laguna specifically South City Homes? Is Smart Bro
reliable in this place?

I do not run Linux using SmartBro. I run my PC using Linux or Windows XP, and
I connect my Linux-WinXP-PC to the Internet using SmartBro. To the line
coming from the SmartBro antenna on my roof, I connected a Linksys Wireless-G
broadband router model WRT54GL, and to this router, I connected by RJ-45 cable
my home desktop system running Linux/WinXP. All laptops at home (one each
belonging to Paul, Gail, Karen, Pablo) connect wirelessly. The Linksys is our
DHCP server, and at the same time arranges for DNS connection to the Meridian
Telekoms name servers supplied by SmartBro. I believe Meridian Telekoms is a
Smart/PLDT subsidiary, and provides IP connectivity for both PLDT and SmartBro.

Connection to the Internet is pretty straightforward, and the SmartBro
installer-contractors are actually quite helpful.
