I use Nagios on a daily basis and I recommend taking a
look at Monarch - its a web interface for Nagios
developed by Groundwork Open Source. It takes away the
complexity of low-level configs and gets you going
quickly.

Don't bother buying a book, there is a ton of
documentation online. c",)
