I think its the client youre using, not vsftpd.

tried it both john and jay but still giving me the same problem.. the weird thing is that it only happens to new uploaded files. I tried uploading a new file and the permission is 000 and all new files I uploaded still have the 000 permission. What I did is change the permission of the new uploaded file in the server to 664 and upload the same file again to overwrite it..
