Make sure also that the power supply has good exhaust system. Some branded power supply (for desktops) failure we have experienced are due to defective/malfunctioning exhaust fan.

I had the chance to heft a "surplus" HP branded 300W power supply at one of those stores... and it was much MUCH heftier than a generic 450W one. I could see that the inductors were really bigger. So it's not just watts... it's the "quality" of those watts.
