While prices are still low, I like to upgrade my CPU to Athlon X2. My main concern is the power saving. How slow can Athlon X2 go when I'm doing nothing?
Can somebody give me the result of: $ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies 1800000 1000000 The above is for my Sempron 3000+. I also need model number as I plan to buy Athlon X2 4XXX. Related to this, is each core seperate in terms of speed throttling? Can I scale the frequency seperately for each core?
