I don't hate it, but I do enjoy doing the evil dance (it's a Dilbert
thing). Here is what I don't like. I don't like gnome. However, I have not found (in the past) that the KDE version (Kubuntu) was as current as Ubuntu. I don't like that I can't have a root shell without going and downloading it or what ever the heck I did to get it took. I'm a Linux guy, not a Windows guy, and I don't like them holding it back for any reason. I guess it boils down to those two things pretty much, but yes, I don't like the colors (I can change those). I've also had better luck with hardware support with other distros...but that is hit and miss in Linux. Again, I don't hate it. I just have not come to see why everyone thinks this is the best thing ever. Dave Elijah Alcantara wrote: On 9/5/07, David R. I have been working with OpenSolaris for a while now and like it, but I will give Ubuntu one more shot. If I don't like it, I will burn the ISO to a CD, just so I can break it. Muuuuhahahahahahahahaha |
