In the first place, why would you want to make it cumbersome for the user?
Logging on as nelson is just fine unless you are hosting multiple domains on
that mail server, I think? The mail server I built before was using the
email address as domain name and users complained that it is too long that
is why I changed it to just plain account name without the domain as logon.
