We have wifi at home, at Ateneo, at UP, at Bodhi, at Burger King, at Robinsons East, and that's pretty much where I go. It's not a mesh, but I'm pretty much covered.
I believe that this is a start. If you leave your wifi router at home open, essid-broadcasting, and not wep-encrypted, then your neighbors can share your good fortune, and you can start the mesh in your neighborhood. I have no plan of doing that yet. He he he.
