Thanks for the link to the discussion. I didn't know you can easily
change the clock source. Looking at the relevant code it has a sysfs
interface. Nice. These sysfs entries might be of help too.
/sys/devices/system/clocksource/clocksource0/available_clocksource
/sys/devices/system/clocksource/clocksource0/current_clocksource
