I'm sorry but this is the same as the GPL. You are given certain rights when you accept it. The BSA and MS will go after you and the FSF if you break these rules. So I think the school has every right to go after MS. How much has the school paid MS for the use of their software.
Fair is Fair, You break it you have to pay. We cannot condone any breaking of the law by anyone. I think it is good for the school to do this as it will help them enforce the copyright on others. I write articles for a US-European Mag and I feel I have a right to get paid for the work I put into these. If you steal it I know my publisher will go after the culprit.
