I remember the days of 300 baud and you had to ring direct to the bbs that you 
wanted to get the files off. 

But both Globe and PLDT advertise a product they cannot provide reliably. We 
all blame the International Pipe speeds but that is what we want since the 
local links as discussed in another thread is a disaster, caused by their 
behavior.

The only company that has proved to me that the Internet does really work and 
exist is Eastern.

Remember we pay for what we get, and we pay dearly here, If you need the speed 
purchase 1 Level above what you need. 

It brings me back to the old joke PLDT had the most advanced phone system in 
1970 and we still have it..

Now don't start me on Electricity and a conglomerate who's preparation for the 
eventual Typhoons which will hit Metro Manila had a black out for 5-7days 
some had longer. And then blamed it on the trees and the strength of the 
storm, Hell it was weak 97-98 was stronger. Who has seen a power pole 
standing straight unless it has 10 tie wires holding it in position.
