Why would you want a Payroll system in VB you cannot change.

Take us for an example three offices different min wages. Single logon page
for entire office, single point of modification. Taxes and all accounting
performed on line to a PHP based system. Time and attendance integrated.

Each employee has ability for different shifts for every day of the year if
you want.

Actually works for over 300 Concurrent employees.

History - SSS single entry - No more buggered up payments to SSS due to an SSS
number incorrectly typed.

Each employee can check online what they expect to get paid for (Not value)

Undertimes - overtimes - Night Diff

Taxation rates modifiable

Multi User multi levels of access.

We even have incentive time off (If you do really good one week you could get
a .5 VL credit which can be used at any time)

Maternity and Paternity leave, SL VL EL

HR Override for certain functions.

Reports for HDMF - PhilHealth (Which also their values altered this year)

There are many reasons to not buy one off the shelf and get locked into a
formula which can change tomorrow.

We also tie ours into the Commission for sales staff so the taxation during
the year changes as the year progresses so they don't end up with either a
huge tax bill or major rebate.

Bonuses what is the current level amounts, how much more untaxable?

Yes you can buy but, what happens if tomorrow the formula changes not just a
simple value but now a % of total earnings?

I can continue all day and night for reasons to build one in house or build on
an open source system.

I hate wine would also be another reason.

SQL statements and PHP can easily be modifed for a new backend or front end.
