You can combine Dovecot with Postfix and use Postfixadmin to administer your mailbox and domain. It uses MySQL or Postgres as database backend to store user information. You can also setup a complete out of the box SMTP server like Zimbra and OpenExchange, it comes complete with Anti virus and Anti Spam solution. Both are administered via webgui.
