There's another issue that you might want to consider. I'm not sure if
this still applies, but as far as I know, NTC has restrictions on WiFi
use (because there's no such thing as "unregulated frequency bands"
here.) I believe Meralco still owns the license to the 2.4GHz band,
including the channels used by WiFi, for their ESCADA network. Because
of this, there are some restrictions on the use of WiFi:
   - No external antennas.
   - EIRP (Equivalent isotropically radiated power) of 200 mW or 100 meters,
     which ever is lower.

Anybody here on the PLUG mailing list who know whether those rules still apply?
