Yes, this is what I need to know too. My current laptop had a licensed XP, and I am easily able to connect a second monitor and drag stuff from one monitor to another using the bundled software. I got a new one, which I want to use Linux on, but I'd like to still enjoy the productivity benefits of having an extended desktop.
