Actually I don't see use for it for my need, either, as you cannot mount it 
(from my brief reads). Just curious if there are local companies using it and 
what for.  I stumbled across it while researching fault-tolerant, distributed 
file systems.

I tried it once but I can't find any use of it on my current project. There is 
a project called Hypertable and PIG which aims to add SQL functionalities on 
Hadoop. That makes it more interesting. :)
